The minister of foreign affairs will conduct a visit to the Central African Republic on October 13. He will be accompanied by Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, European Commissioner responsible for humanitarian assistance.
This visit follows yesterday’s unanimous adoption by the Security Council of resolution 2121. It falls within the context of our strong mobilization, at the national level as well as with our partners, particularly at the UN and within the EU, in support of a swift improvement in the security situation and living conditions of the populations. It will also mark our support for African efforts to stabilize this country.

2:00 pm Meeting with Mr. Michel Am-Nondokro Djotodia, Head of State of the Transition in the Central African Republic, Mr. Nicolas Tiangaye, Prime Minister and Chief of Government of the National Transitional Government, Mr. Alexandre-Ferdinand Nguendet, President of the Transitional Parliament and General Babacar Gaye, Head of BINUCA.
3:15 pm Meeting with the representatives of the Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths.
4:20 pm Speech by the minister and meeting with the French community at the French residence
5:35 Visit to the Boali detachment at the M’poko military camp
