North Korea announced its intention today to proceed with its nuclear and ballistic programs and, most alarmingly, to conduct a nuclear test.
France deplores this announcement by North Korean authorities. This can only call for a strong reaction from the international community.
France reiterates its calls to North Korea to comply with its international obligations and to refrain from any further acts that would be contrary to the terms of United Nations Security Council resolutions 1695, 1718, 1874 and 2087.
It reiterates its call to North Korea to return without delay to the path of dialogue, with the view to a complete, verifiable and irreversible dismantling of its nuclear and ballistic programs.
