Attack on the United Kingdom’s embassy in Tehran

France very strongly condemns the storming of the United Kingdom’s embassy in Tehran by a crowd of demonstrators and the intolerable damage done to it.
In these unacceptable circumstances, France expresses her full solidarity with the United Kingdom.
Once again, the Iranian regime has just supplied proof of its low regard for international law. France condemns this flagrant and outrageous violation of the Vienna Convention.
France holds the Iranian authorities responsible for ensuring that all the diplomatic missions in Tehran remain secure and intact.
