The New York office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and our co-sponsors, the Club de Madrid, Ford Foundation and the UN Permanent Representations of France, Mexico and Peru, have organized a day of informal discussions entitled: "Toward a New Generation of Development Goals".
Mr. Gérard Araud, the Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations, will speak during the third Panel, dealing with the necessity to ensure coherence in bringing the different processes together.
The objective of this event is to bring together key participants in the relevant stakeholder groups – in civil society, the UN system and among political decision-makers – to help further these discussions on what is needed in the post-2015/pre-Sustainable Development Goals framework. The discussions will focus on the core concepts and main elements of a new development paradigm.
