Pakistan: Terrorist attack in Bajaur - Communiqué of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs

France condemns in the strongest terms today’s attack against a distribution centre of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) established in Bajaur, north-western Pakistan, in which over 80 people were killed and more than 60 injured.
Pakistan is once again plunged into mourning by a particularly heinous terrorism. We extend our condolences to the families of the victims of this terrorist act and assure the wounded of our sympathy.
In these tragic circumstances, we reiterate our support and solidarity to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), to its staff and to its action in favour of the people of Pakistan.
France assures the Government and people of Pakistan of its solidarity in this new ordeal and of its support in their fight against terrorism.
